Amherst Garden Club had their ‘Garden Hop’ day at the Boys & Girls Club of Souhegan Valley

Today, The Amherst Garden Club had their ‘Garden Hop’ day at the Boys & Girls Club of Souhegan Valley. It is a day for AGC members to view what our Garden Crew and their volunteers have accomplished here at the club gardens.  Approximately 30 members from the AGC came to see our growing and maturing gardens.

Nature Trail and Garden Welcome

A special thanks to BGCSV’s Mike McKnight pictured above for his dedication to this enriching and growing project.

We had a few BGCSV teens and 5th graders that served as ambassadors; giving tours of the trail, vegetable, and milkweed gardens. A welcome table was set up at the start of the nature trail stationed with (Amherst) Garden Crew volunteers, as well as at each garden, as our club kids lead our visitors around.

Amherst Garden Club members have been incredibly generous to the BGCSV over the past 5 years, and we are immensely grateful for their dedication to the club gardens and club members.
